I know C. j. do not like cold weather at all~ someone told me once if you put an ice cube in your mouth and then blew on the plant you could kill it.
Yes C. johnstonii. The leaves become more chocolate and less pink as the plant matures.
Lasimorpha has the leaf stalks angular in cross-section with the spines in rows along the edges
