Blooms for 8-21-07

(Zone 11)

I haven't had any blooms for a while, so I was extra happy to see this beautiful first bloom on Cajun Blue. Thats it for me, any body else get some flowers today?

Hey Dave,

Very nice Cajun Blue!!! Believe it or not I drove 4 hours to pick mine up. I could not find any closer but 1 nursery in the boonies had it so I went after it. Up for today is Georgia's Pearl

a small "Lady Bug" I dont think she is ready to shine yet. I have been growing this one from a 3" liner for almost 4 months and was suprised to see it with a bloom. I am sure as she matures more colors will be there and it will be more defined.

Me, Me! I've got some :-)

Took the pictures, but didn't get them online during the day. Infusion day wasn't so great this week :-(

Here's Belle de Jour.

Moonshadow. This is my second bloom on this plant, and I'm so glad I got it - it's even prettier this time.

Electric Blue. I'm finding that this cultivar is a real eye catcher. Visitors to the bubble really seem to notice and like it. Maybe because it's a break from all my browns and neon colors?

I'm really glad Palm Springs is putting out more flowers lately. She had bloomed so much last year, that I was disappointed not to see her earlier...

Not a large bloom on Young at Heart today, but still a lovely bright pink.

I should have waited a bit longer to photograph Creme de Cacao, but unfortunately, immunoglobulin waits for no (wo)man ;p

I also had blooms on Erin Rachael (couldn't reach in far enough for the pic) and Cajun Blue (a wholly unattractive bloom today for me), plus three that are new to me. I'm so excited to have these new ones bloom, I'm giving them their very own thread, lol!

Like you haven't had enough of me, lol..

Dave, your Cajun Blue pic is outstanding. My blooms haven't opened that much in quite a while. Is it cooler where you are, or is it the extra humidity Florida receives? Either way, I'm jealous ;-)

Robert, Evangaline is super pretty and I really like that little Ladybug. I've had my eye on that one and it's definitely "on the list" :-)

Great pics guys!

Robert, I got mine mail order from A touch of the tropics.
I not sure if they carry it anymore.

Karen, it was 96 degrees yesterday, felt like 106.
The humidity makes it brutal,at least on humans that is.
