My cornelian cherries have started to ripen. I took the pic below to do a comparison of fruit.
From left to right 1) Pioneer 2) Yellow 3) Golden Glory
Pioneer tastes best and is larger, but is not very prolific for me. The cherry shown is slightly smaller than typical.
Yellow is prolific, but smaller and tastes similar, but not quite as rich, as Pioneer.
Golden Glory is a good pollinator and prolific, but the fruit is small. Taste is good, but not as good as the others The fruits in the pic are a couple of large ones and two of the typical size.
Anybody else have a variety to reccommend or pic to post? How do they do for you?
