Started Some More EB Vegetables Today!

Pembroke Pines, FL(Zone 10a)

Perhaps a bit early but I can always re-seed if necessary. Planted Baby Bubba & Little Lucy Okra, Bush Blue Lake stringbeans and Diablo Brussel Sprouts. I planted per Eb, 8 stringbeans four on each side, 6 Sprouts 3&3 per side and 8-Okra @ 4&4 per side. My tomato seeds which I have inside under lights have started to sprout so my season has definetly begun....

I just got my first EB for my birthday last week--hooray! Now I have to wait for it to be even cool enough to take it outside and assemble--DH threatened mutiny if I did it in the living room! :)

TPlant, you're my source of expert advice: Can I do more than one kind of veggie in an EB? And, if so, how do I figure out the spacing? I have a couple of broccoli seedlings already started, and I'm contemplating a late bean crop as well.

Thanks for the advice!

Hmmm? Never mixed veggies but why not? Go to the webste www.earthbox.com and take notice of their recommendations. I would plant according to size. Example would be peas and stringbeans with a cucumber. I would plant two of each. However it would be easier with more EBs. (LOL)
If you have broccoli seedlings already started, plant two on one side and two beans on the other but remember beans and broccoli like cooler weather to produce!
Follow the set-up directions exactly and use only top quality potting mix. Don't use anything that says "potting soil." Remember the lime! Talk to you later...Good Luck!!!
