Heirloom Parrot Glad for Trade!

Lufkin, TX(Zone 8b)

Hi guys, just started using this forum and am still a little unsure how this trading thing works. thought i would give it a try, though! I have a number of the the old fashioned orange and yellow parrot glads that i can dig and trade. i have just gotten kinda nuts about daylillies and am also interested in beared irises. have spent waaaay too much money on daylillies in the last couple of months! anyway, these are pretty expensive at the heriloom garden sites, if you can find the at all. i hope some of you would like the old fashioned flower in your garden.

Nice! What are you looking for? Specifically Daylilies? or...?

Lufkin, TX(Zone 8b)

wow that was fast! LOL I would love daylillies or beared iris, however, i might consider something else. it would have to be hardy in this sweltering east texas heat! i am trying to get away from planting sooo many annuals every year. i really like big elephant ears, have a bed for them that i am always adding to. anyway, thanks for your reply

Hey Aggiegrl, I don't have much to trade with as a newbie but I have a some plumeria seeds that I can trade. I know that you're probably not interested in trading for glads for plumie seeds but I was wondering if you would be interested in trading glad seeds for plumie seeds..

The color is gorgeous and I would be interested in trading.

honestly, i dont know how to collect glad seeds. would be glad to if i knew how! right now i am trying to get daylillies (mostly) since this is my current obsession! let me know which you have and what you think is a fair trade. please keep in mind that i know just enough to be dangerous! in other words, is see something i like, but dont know if they are older (less expensive) or newer hybrids. so please help me out, i dont want to offend with my greediness for all of them! LOL that is why i am depending on you guys that know what your doing to guide me and a fair trade. also, i am not exactly sure how many glads i can get, think there are quite a few, but i will need to dig some. i will need to see what you want in exchange to see who i can trade with. anyways, this is so great of you guys to help out a newbie like me. thanks again!!!

aggiegirl, I can send you a few really big elephant ears for some of these bulbs.
BTW, glads don't normally set seeds; they usually multiply by producing bulblets.
thanks and let me know about the trade. thanks, julie
