gessiegail, I understand your pain....lol. I miss some of the nurseries back home that I used to frequent when I needed a plant fix. Now I am mainly stuck with the chain stores. I do visit Martha's Bloomers occasionally since it is close, but they don't always have much in the way of houseplants. I have found some good cacti and succulents at the Natural Gardener in Austin, and there is also another cactus place there although I forget the name offhand, it wasn't as good though. Also cactus king off of I-45 in Houston has a decent selection. As for other plants, I end up ordering most of the time and am happy when I get lucky to find something local. There is another place outside of Houston, forget the name......I wanted to visit it but haven't yet, it was supposed to have some interesting tropicals. Let me go see if I can find the name and I will let you know...

Thanks, Kim.....................could you be trying to think of Caldwell's???

I used to go to Weatherford Farms when I had a liscence, but they don't really carry anything too unusual.............
