This is a pic of how things are taking shape with the hoyas all being moved to their new home. It's gonna take some getting used to as I was used to having them all within hands reach. I could water them all by hand. Now with many of them hanging kind of high up it's going to involve a little more work!!
In this pic you'll see H. obovata to the right back side of the fountain,H. australis to the left and in the front right hand you'll see H. macrophylla variagata. The plant directly behind the fountain is an illicium called "Shady lady"
I've had this fountain for about 12-13 years if not longer and really enjoy hearing the sound of running water in my gh.

new gh set up
The plant is gorgeous, congratulations.
I really like the way your greenhouse looks, the fountain is very cute.
Lourdes =)
Ditto, and thanks for sharing; DM619!

I love your fountain in the greenhouse. It is such a cute one. It looks like you are going to be filling it up in no time! LOL I found one of those mottled lacunosa's, aren't they beautiful. Mine is just starting to bloom.
Please share some more pics when your greenhouse is filled.
Karen
David - what a serene and peaceful looking greenhouse! Beautiful!
Karen
Karen, that gh is at capacity!!!!! It was my tropicals house but I did away with about 99% of those this past week and have been moving all of my hoyas into this particular gh as it has more open space and much better air circulation than the gh that I had the hoyas in before. I'm hoping to get them to flower better than they were in the old house. I got tons of new growth but few blooms. I WANT BOTH!!!!!
I'll get more pics posted soon.
Lourdes I knew I had to have that fountian when I first saw it,though I cant remember where I got it from. There is another version of it that I see occasionally when i'm out nursery hopping that only has a little boy on it instead of the boy and girl like mine has,
Dont know if you can see it in the pic but the little girl is holding an ice cream cone and the little boy has a frog in his rear pocket.
dmichael
If and when you can, please post a closer picture. I could see the ice cream cone but I like it regardless.
I have about four small water fountains in the house, but I CAN NOT use them because of Fedor, that is one of his obsessions and he makes a mess playing with the water.
But you know how it is; you have Mr. Gizmo LOL
PS: Where did you buy the plant? I've been checking both HD (two stores) and Lowe's (three) and they are completely out of EA plants
I went hoya hopping today and found it in the second lowes store that I went into and it was the only one they had.Seems like when EA puts out htese new hoyas they are spread out far and wide and when you do find them it is usually no more than one plant. There are 2 more lowes and 1 more HD I need to check for this (lacunosa) one and if they have it I will buy it!!!
I have driven as many as 4 hours from my house and hit every home depot and lowes in sight and not found one of the new EA plants that they began selling last year like H. linearis which i'd die to get my hands on an 8" basket of!!!!
dmichael
Besides checking in the local stores, I’ve driven an hour and a half south and two hours northeast from Austin, but without any luck.
I’ll keep checking; if I ever find the one you want, I can get it and ship it to you.
I'll let you know.
Looking good David!! Now that you worked through your day off, are you all ready to go back? You had all those errands run, and back home before I even got started on my day! HA!
Your fountain is pretty cool. I have one in my house, but I kind of like the green algae look.......maybe I should stop putting bleach in mine.

I love that greenhouse. Could take a chair in there & read a book (maybe "The Secret Life of Plants"..ha ha)
I NEVER have found ANY EA plants in Lowes or Home Depots here & believe me...I have checked many many.
Amazingly I found a few once in a Stater Bros. grocery store. So I went around to a few other Stater Bros & found one here & there. However, that was 3 years ago, and I haven't seen another in any of them.
The Armstrong Nursery near me started carrying a few & I was able to pick up a couple of DS -70s, but when I went back...there were no more. So I asked the guy that orders plants when he would be getting more EA plants. He said he wouldn't order from that company anymore as he had too much trouble with them. He wouldn't say what the problem was, just that he wasn't going to do business with them anymore.
Ahhh Well!! "C'est la vie"
That looks very cool, dmichael!!!
MArcy would you beleive that I DO HAVE a chair in there and have had tha very same book for many years and have never read it. It was given to me by a French Canadian woman who lived down the street from us. If we are talking about the same book i've had it for at least 20 years.
Sara, I put green food color in the water that's why it has that green look to it. I dont use bleach as I found it splashes the plants and does cause some leaf damage.
dmichael
Now, that is my idea of a GH. One that has fountains, chairs, a place to put a glass of wine, and wind chimes for music. After the new growth slows down, the blooms may follow. At least that is what I am finding with several of my hoyas. I like your orchid mixed in, too.
