Want: Coreopsis
Hiya Rox,
I have this Coreopsis but I have not idea what the name of it is. I have always just called it "tick seed". It's blooming right now and has been for weeks. Very hard to photograph as it is so bright yellow. I certainly could split it up as it fills in nicely. Has a great foliage too.
Is this what you are looking for?
Kim-
It's a threadleaf coreopsis. Possibly Zagreb.

I'd love some. Can I get some beg. Sept.?
Postage or trade?
Many thanks, ROX
I'd be more than happy to send some the beginning of September! They may even still be in bloom *lol*
I would LOVE to trade but don't see your trade list.
Can you D-Mail me?
Thanks,
Kim
Kim-
I don't maintain a list [I have more than 800 perennials but availability changes constantly depending on Darwinism in the garden.]
Give me a category: shade, sun, color of flower etc. and I can send a list or you can just let me know what you are looking for.
Thanks, ROX
Rox.
I have quite a few coreopsis of several kinds including rosea and nana, that I have potted up this summer from my gardens. I could do a large trade of 4" pots.
Aline
Aline-
What are you looking for?
I'd be interested in the yellow coreopsis.
ROX
Guess what?
I went to Lowes for some grout and came back with Coreopsis (creme brulee and moon beam- both small, single yellow flowers) and Salvia Maynight.
I can't believe they had anything decent, let alone what I wanted, at this time of the year.
So...I'm still looking for larger flowered and/or double flowered coreopsis.
ROX
ROX,
Do you have any Dahlia bulbs, boltonia Snowbank,Heliopsis, gas plant? Most of my gardens are sun and I have lots of room for big plants.
I have some Zegreb as well as the nana (a short double yellow). The others are a taller single yellow and one with a red eye.
Aline-
I do have boltonia snowbank.
I also think I have some Heliopsis hel. Loraine Sunshine babies.
I'll be back in a week and then I can take a better look in the garden.
ROX
Dmail me when you get back.
Aline
I think I have the same kind as kimskreations, so I imagine you wouldn't want 2 of the same kind would you? Anyway, let me know if you'd like some of mine.
Crazy-
Thanks for the offer, but due to the generosity of DGers I have enough now.
Thank you.
ROX
Hi Roxanne,
Just wanted to let you know, I mailed today as promised. HEAVY box *lol* I hope you enjoy it!!
Kim
GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ROX
PS I do have baby Lorraine Sunshine (~4, 2-3" yearlings) and the boltonia. I'll try to send them this week.
Rox, you must have been talking to Aline there in the PS right? We did Oriental and Asiatic lily bulbs :)
Kim
Kim-
Sorry to mix the messages.
For you I have lily bulbs.
For Aline (if she wants them for postage) I have the boltonia and the heliopsis.
ROX
Rox,
Did you get enough coreopsis? He He. Those babies seed themselves so nicely it's a good thing I love the color they provide all summer!
Did you get the Nana?
It's a lovely little bloomer.
I am ok, don't have to have the boltonia or heliopsis. I have quite a bit to deal with right now in the gardens.
Thank you anyway.
Aline
Aline-
I haven't received any of the boxes yet....can't wait to see what I did get....
ROX
Sounds exciting. I love coreopsis.
Let me know if I can send you a Nana.
I have been trying to start Tripteris from seed and haven't had a lot of luck. I may just order it from Bluestone next year.
Aline
Aline-
I have tripteris. I you need some, let me know.
ROX
ROX,
Is it a nice plant? I know it's tall and UI have lots of space. How long does it bloom and when?
aline
Aline-
It is a little straggly. It is six feet high and has been blooming for more than one month. Last year the deer kept eating it down andit never bloomed. I have it growing between other bushier plants.
ROX
ROX
How about some fresh seed?
I would send you some Nana seed in trade. It comes true. Nana is short (12" or so), double yellow flowers and blooms a long time. It is my favorite because it doesn't flop and is nice at the front of the border. It's not as weedy as some of the others either.
aline
I'll go out and look for seed/seed pods.
