Wow, what a bouquet those would make. My blooms are all in one picture today. We had heavy rains this morning and they weren't very happy sitting on the plants. Unfortunately, they aren't new blooms.

Cat, if you don't stop posting pics of Montserrat I'm going to be forced to get one!! Black Voodoo is definitely one of my favorites, Brugie. Robert, Ocean Spray is super cool, but my favorite is Fall Harvest - don't think I've seen that one before.

I've only got a few today (but lots of buds on the ground) in our super-icky heat wave.

First up for me is another semi-hidden Belle de Jour. I'm noticing that this cultivar seems to like a bit more shade maybe? Can someone with more experience with BDJ tell me about what conditions yours likes?

Cajun Blue doesn't seem to be real into extreme heat, and I'm surprised this one even opened.

Cinnamon Girl is continuing on her bloom a day marathon with today's chocolatey orange bloom.

RAR!!! I LOVE that Cinnamon Girl, Karen!

Mango Tango has two beauties today, but one is viewable only from the middle of the waterfall, lol.

My Electric Blue likes to bloom in almost full sun, although this is another one that over 100 temps makes the edges get a bit crispy.

Love Story is a cultivar I was so excited to purchase that I bought it during the winter and had to wait a while for shipping, but it has just not performed too well for me. I don't get a whole lot of blooms and the ones I get aren't as pretty as others I have seen on the here on our forum.

Maybe Love Story knows that I'm not too big on romance books or movies??? I dunno, this cultivar doesn't like me much though :-(

Creme de Cacao has another new one today. This plant really needs to be potted up, but I'm afraid to in this heat...I repotted Irene Collins about a week ago, and she is still not pleased about it.

And lastly, I've got Gator Pride, which is my yard's bloom for the day. I just love this cultivar, it's such a strong and healthy beauty!!

Awesome blooms. Gator Pride is a great hibiscus. Cinnamon Girl is an unusual color. I like her too.

Brugie, Very nice blooms, I have been waiting for my black voodoo to bloom but she is very shy in the heat. She definitely likes cooler weather! Karen, Beautiful!! Whats your trick to get all of the blooms? I have even thought about playing classical music for mine to de-stress them in the heat LOL. And Cat Beautiful as usual. All I am seeing is buds dropping everywhere. My Cest Bon is fairly large and I counted 43 buds on her but I know they will drop before it is all said & done :-( We are finally getting a small break in the heat here but now have to watch out for a hurricane "Dean" Go Figure. Time to load the flatbed with all of my hibbies and leave everything else behind LOL

Robert,
Hope the hurricane misses you! When I watched the news last night, I thought about you. Please be careful!!!!!
Fall Harvest and Cinnamon girl are my favs for today.
Am...know how you feel.
Now I'm starting to get into the
"blues"
Just order Stormy days and silver memories from HVH and City Slicker from Robert.
PS...Robert, the girls are loving their new home. No more yellowing or falling leaves. They are being watered at least once a day, and sometimes twice.

San Bernardino, CA(Zone 8b)

Robert, my secret is watering them and telling them how much I love them at least once a day, and fertilizing every other week religiously with HVH fertilizer/bloom booster combination. We'll see if they continue to do so well when I go back to work September 4th.

Cat, both of those cultivars look great - you must be the lucky person who got the "only one left" on Stormy Days. Just so you know, you beat me to the punch, and I keep checking back to see if they're gonna get more, lol!

Good luck with the hurricane - I'll keep watch on the weather channel and say my prayers for it to pass you by!!!

yep, that was me :)
