Earwigs in my Snowball Bush - YIKES!

Riverview, NB(Zone 5b)

Well my Snowball bush has started blooming and it already has an
earwig infestation. Is there something I can use to get rid of these
horrible creatures?

Hi! I thought this website very helpful: http://www.paghat.com/woodlouse.html
and I got it from this thread: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/727834/#post_3551794
which is funny and informative. You might like to look through both.

Better than in your show dahlias though. That is where I used to find them -in the days when I grew them.

From what I can see, I've gotten rid of them. I have cats and so I saved some of the cat food cans and put them under the bush. I even caught some frogs and put them in and around my pond. Of course the cats think they're there for them to play with. Ha ha ha ha ha

The empty cans work! I put a little oil in them and laid them abuot the bush. The very next morning, I had a couple in each can. Now, I have none in them, so I'm thinking I've gotten them all or at least have the "over populated ear wigs" under control and they're eating what they're suppose to be eating. (not my bush)

Thanks.

Darrell
