A few hummingbird photo's...
What beautiful pics of your little jewels. I would love to have a camera that can take such beautiful pictures!!!
Keep up the good work.

Great pics! Most of our local hummers have a bright green color but we saw one out in the country that was very small and zebra striped.
Are these Rufous hummers?
So cool. Those are great pics. Thanks for letting us that are not so blessed with close ups of these guys enjoy what they look like. Sooo cute.

Lilou64, ~Thanks! :) ~Im not sure if they are rufus, There are a couple ruby throats that stay around, And I have a hard time distinquishing the differences other then the throat color on the ruby. They fight all the time here and it really seems like there 3 different types of hummers, One seems to have an extra long bill compared to the others, Only 2 will eat together at the feeders sometimes, The rest fight constantly though there is plenty for everyone.
bluemaven, Thanks, I think this particular one is young and I don't think all of it's coloring is filled in yet?
lostintexas, Thanks! And happy you enjoy the photos!
Great pics Iris, looks like they are sprinkled with gold dust!
yes it does, And thanks flygirl!
Great pictures. All mine wind up being fuzzy- I keep blaming it on the humidity. What do you have your camera set at- your pictures look wonderful.
Thx,
Jenny
bordersandjacks, Thankyou! ~Not sure on those, Once I download them I lose the info as I don't save it on the card and I don't really pay attention at the time to what it set at other then linning it up to what it's suppose to be and shooting the subject. I believe though, That it was set about f5.6 at 1/200 shutter speed. Sorry, I know I must not sound to helpfull
On my other camera, I just set it to 'action' shots and they usually come out pretty good.
Amazing pictures!!! You certainly have the touch for capturing the little guys!
indiana_lily, Thanks so much!
Wow, Iris, was that at night?
That blue Salvia is so pretty with the hummer!
It was at about 5:30 in the morning, Still a bit dark out, But the hummers are quite active in the garden at that time. They love the Salvia, and the bee-balm.
