I am still getting big double yolk eggs from my biggest Austalorpe!
She has been spitting them out regular for 3 weeks now!
LOL!!! I pet her everyday! I got her as a chick from Eufaula in march,she has always been missing a toe, on her left foot...I used to call her clubfoot,,,but I have been calling her lately,,,twofer,,,she lays big wyolkers almost everyday!!! She is a gem. I don't expect it to last much longer, but so far she has been steady..,, she has skipped 3 or 4 days in those 3 weeks,,,but these eggs barely fit in a large egg carton. I can't wait till these araucannas start laying! They are bigger than my reds and aussies,,,and they are 3 to 5 weeks younger.
I am getting 3 or 4 eggs everyday now,,,outa 9 hens,,,starting to give them away now!Can't eat them all!

WoooHoooooo!! Great Going Girls! I will have to say, You got the best of my Chickies! My little girls , that I kept, Domineques , Sussex, Red or brown Leghorns and the Brahmas, NONE have started laying yet! I think the weather has made them lazy!
