Blooms for August 15th.

San Bernardino, CA(Zone 8b)

I'm surprised that, in this horrible humidity and heat, I have blooms today.

First up is a paper plate sized Climax. I just love that gaudy pink and orange :-)

While I'm doing neon colors - here's Erin Rachael with triplets. Looks like I need to cut off those dead Echinacea flowers, huh?

Gator Pride would look a lot better if an ugly old freckled hand wasn't holding the bloom.

I like the look of Rum Runner today, with the light filtering though my Brug.

Mini Ballerina is very fluffy, but I still wish for more of the pink to show in the center :-(

Black Dragon twins were beautiful this morning, but I'm sure they won't look like this for long in today's heat.

Molten Lava is a great name for this flower that seems to love extreme heat.

They are all great looking blooms. Love that Molten Lava, tho. The bright ones seem to jump out at me. LOL!

San Bernardino, CA(Zone 8b)

Be careful Brugie, you'll be the next to "go gaudy", lol ;-)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

LOL! I was definitely gaudy before it was even a word. I've always loved lots of color.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

Those are gorgeous! What a collection! I agree Niiiiiiice!

I am sooooooooooo in love with Belle du Jour. Finally gave in and ordered one.
Leroy was my only bloom today, but my puppy got sick and had a high fever, so going to the vet took precidence over pics, today.
As of 11pm, her fever went from 104 to 102. The vet said she is wagging her tail, kissing, and tinkling outside. No more diarrhea or vomiting. Hopefully she will be home in the morning.

Plumiedelphia, PA(Zone 7a)

WOWZERS!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Poor baby. I hope she recovers completely so she can be home with you today.

San Bernardino, CA(Zone 8b)

I hope she's feeling better too. It's so hard when little pets and children are sick :-(

Take care.

Cat, Hope your furbaby is feeling better. We keep Pedialyte (sp?) around for when our little guy gets the whoopsies.

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Tuni is home and happy. The vet thinks she had a reaction to the cheesecake I gave her. I think she probably ate a lizard or frog. Either way, she is not allowed to have dairy products of any kind....poor baby!
Right now she is chumping on a toy. Earlier today, she helped me clean the yard. she's a sweety, and I am so glad her illness was extremely shortlived :)

Ardesia,
Does pedialyte stop diarrhea or vomiting or both?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Not sure if it actually stops either but it is supposed to re-hydrate them and that should help them feel better sooner. My little guy used to eat his toys and then wind up in the doggie ER for 3 or 4 days. We have just found out that fish upsets his tummy. Recently my husband gave him a tiny piece of cooked salmon and another time it was grouper and each time it came back up.
