Boot somewhat free feeds. I give him a handful of dry food in the morning and a handful in the evening. For some reason that seems to statisfy him. But he also gets very demanding if he can see the bottom of his bowl, never mind there is food around the edges. If he sees the bottom then he thinks he needs food. Sometimes I will sneak an extra handful in if he has a particularly active day.
