Beautiful Bloom -of what?

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

This is the 4th bloom it's put out- the leaves hid the first three so they were shriveled when I found them, I've been paying more attention... it makes me want to pollinate and propagate... (like I need anymore plants to winter-over in Zone 5b).... I do plan to experiment with this one over the next couple of years to see if I can make it think it is hardy in my backyard. Anybody wanna guess what kind it is?

I am going to say colocasia pink china or rhubarb? Hard to say with out a leaf pic though. Looks like you have plenty of pollen to work with their.

Could it be something like this...................I was told that this is basically a weed that can be invasive................if i find the old thread, I will come back and tell you what was said.

gessiegail's plant is not in Plant Files - at least not under that name. Can someone who know more about it than I do put it in? I am guessing from the common name that it stinks, but hey we love stinky plants here! Kaelkitty.

Thanks, you got it right, Kaelkitty, but I don't know what hers is.................

Brian's right... gosh, thought it would take longer without the leaf exposed.... I'm am loving this one. I regret not planting it in the ground, but I will next year... and some of it will be mulched well and left to see if it makes it through the winter...

I got one of those from Brian this year, Gessiegail. I think he said that some people consider them invasive. It did bloom and surprised me. I'm in zone 5b, I'll be surprised if I see it next year.... I thought I had a bloom pic, this shows the leaves a little better... I liked have the bloom so dark and close to the ground... it's behind the mushrooms.
