Hardy Opuntias to trade

East Haddam, CT

I have several rooted/unrooted cuttings of Opuntia kleiniae, macrorhiza (yellow, red center) humifusa, and fragilis to trade. Looking for in return hardy orchids, Gentians, unusual ferns, or Virginia Bluebells

Dave,

I am interested in the O. kleiniae. That is a spectacular specimen. How old is it?

I have more Onoclea sensibilis (sensitve fern) growing wild than I know what to do with. It is a great plant if you have a damp spot for it. It has decorative 'seed heads' in fall that persist through winter.

I have small (4-5 inch) cuttings of Opuntia kleiniae, some rooted, some not. Unfortunately, I already have Onoclea on my property. I think the parent Opuntia kleiniae is about 3 feet now. It would get even taller, but the snow knocks it down each year.

Dave,

The only other fern I have is a semi-unhappy (just has not thrived in the site it is at) Christmas fern. Willing to buy a cutting of the kleiniae if you are looking to sell them. Send me a private message as I don't want to 'hijack' the posting here.

Mike
