Very Pretty! I like how they look ruffley, the colors are awesome!.... How do they do with the heat so high? A few of mine have blooms that almost melt by day's end... poor things.. I really don't want to put them in less sun, but maybe I should until our temps are better... (pretty nails, too Brugie)

We had a very windy storm last night and this morning and Molly Cummings kind of took the brunt of it.

Oops! I'm be more patient... keepem' comin! :)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks. I would rather not have my fat arms in the pictures, but those blooms are so heavy that they want to flop a little.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Molly is still beautiful! Love that color, so rich! (I don't like me in pics, either) How did everything else fair? We have been lucky with just thunder, lightening and rain, which I like storms, but NOT wind storms... everything is so lush and I hope to keep it going during the heat spell..

Brugie, your seedling looks great! I really like the others too :-)

LOL, your arms in the pics - I have to do that sometimes on mine too, and it seems I can never crop enough of me out of the pic without losing the flower. Sometimes, I put bamboo stakes in and cheat by using an orchid clip to get the bloom without my hand, lol, but sometimes there's just nothing else to do ;-)

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Orchid clips! WONDERFUL idea! I can use that. Even the little girl hair clippy things would work... anything to prevent publication/documentation of my pudgy.

San Bernardino, CA(Zone 8b)

Yes, AuntB, that's what I mean - the little girl clips is what I use too :-) I've used that phrase before with no one knowing what I meant, and since Gubler sells the clips as "orchid clips", I figure it's easier for most to understand if I just use that. I keep lots on hand for my orchids, but they also have tons of other uses :-)

I have a feeling that you guys are probably getting sick of my same old plants, so I'll only post a "special" one today. Today's bloom on Strawberry Fields Forever has an extra little fluff that's super cute :-)

I've also got blooms on Rum Runner, Cinnamon Girl, Cajun Blue, Black Dragon twins, Voodoo Queen twins and Erin Rachael.

Have a beautiful day!

amarantha - I w ill NEVER get tired of your blooms!

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Karen! I'm not tired of seeing your blooms... let's seem em! That Strawberry Fields is lovely! I'm trying to figure out which ones I have. Some were given to me my a DG'er and a couple may have been mislabeled.
I discovered those pretty dragon fly orchid clips a couple weeks ago. My hair is at a length it is not long enough for a ponytail, but is too hot on my neck and my bangs kept falling down in my eyes, not wanting to trapse back in the house I stood there holding my bangs back on top of my head when BINGO, I spied the clips I'd left on the patio table.... they are actually cuter than the little girl clips, well better suited for an ol has been like me.
If you have pics, please post, I'd love to see them. I think the blooms colors can vary by zone and environmental/heat/food/water conditions...
I have Electric Blue (new this spring) - he doesn't seem to like the days and days of heat we're having... poor little thing shrivels up and looks all melted (the bloom). I moved it to more shade over the weekend. Donna Lynn is new for me and I think it reminds me of Erin Rachael- maybe the names? Donna is pink and yellow, I don't have a pic on the puter, yet. Come on, show us more! :)

I love Junes Dragon. Junes Joy has always been my favorite and Dragon is the same coloration with a lot more ruffles.

That Strawberry Fields looks like it is waving to me and saying buy one. LOL

San Bernardino, CA(Zone 8b)

Yeah, Ardesia, you KNOW you want one!!!

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

I always love to watch blooms. Will post mine from today, with tomorrow's.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I've been off line since I posted my pictures due to my DSL modem burning out. It's good to be back, and Karen, I never tire of your pictures. They are always beautiful and I certainly have today's hibiscus on my want list. Strawberry Fields Forever is gorgeous.

June's Dragon is still pretty today and that's saying something in this heat we have. Our heat index isn't the highest, but hovering around 105. I'm glad this one doesn't seem to mind being hot.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

No amarantha, I do not want one - I want them ALL. :-))))

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Aw Brugie, something to do with the storm? Welcome back. That is such an inconvenience! (We're so spoiled, huh?) Glad all is well, now.
