Thanks Fly_girl,

I saw another picture similar that was posted and it was a Black Swallowtail so now I have the exact name. I am enjoying this forum and Tabasco said I should try raising butterflies for next year. I think I will.

This is a great forum Betty. I have only been on two months and have learned more than a lifetime of information. These are the greatest, most intelligent people. It is amazing to me how they just instantly spout of the type of butterfly, what the cat looks like, the host plants, etc. Amazing. I am so thrilled I found this place. I am even raising butterflies myself and never thought that would happen. And Tabasco should know, she is one of the more involved, intelligent people on the forum.

Leslie,

I totally agree about Tabasco (Judy)---She does her homework and I have learned so much from her already. She pointed me to the Lasagna Bed method and I am going to start a Daylily bed next month--using that method, as I have a heel spur and cannot dig for the near future. Yes ,these people are so intelligent and they know instantly what the name of the butterfly is and how to raise them etc. I am going to raise them next year. I almost touched the Pipervine SWT yesterday when I was so close to him and taking pictures. I found out they are poisonous.

I am thankful for DG, but I am getting addicted and not getting my chores done around the house, and I need to bathe my two Persians sometime today.
