Anybody live near Ogdensburg NY?

I have been thinking of zipping over the border for my yearly fix of Keebler cookies and would like to know if there is anyplace near there that sells houseplant type plants. I checked go gardening but there is nothing listed in there for that area. Any suggestions?

Sorry I do not live there, but this post caught my eye since I grew up in Watertown NY and you don't see or hear Ogdensburg very often. Good luck with your search!

That's funny, having to come over the border for Keeblers!

I worked in St. Lawrence and Jefferson counties for many years, up to last October, and think I knew of all the garden stores, but I don't recall anything in the Ogdensburg area where they sell houseplants.

There is a garden center on Rte 68, going towards Canton, just out of Ogdensburg, on the left, but I don't recall houseplants.

lol....just my luck......my section of the border has no plants!!

I only see one member up there, NNYRose, in Ogdensburg, and one in Massena. I know there are beautiful gardens there. Surprisingly not very many people from there on DG.

Have you noticed the old mansions as you cross the bridge that are part of St. Lawrence Psych Center. They always amaze me how lovely they are.

And Rte 37 in the spring looks like they had a fire sale on lilacs. Gorgeous. My mother told me during the depression a lot of people peddled wares up there, and lilacs were one of them. My parents sold asparagus there to make money during the depression.
