Two weeks ago, I posted pictures of our Superb Fairy-wren (Malurus cyaneus), displaying at our windows: http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=3790658 . He was then in process of changing from his drab winter plumage: http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=3733788
He and his wife are still displaying at our windows every day and as I was the dishes after breakfast this morning, he was at the kitchen window and now has his full summer plumage (we are still in winter here). I quickly broke off from the dishes and grabbed my camera and here he is in all his glory:
Blue for summer
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for the great shots kennedy!
I second pelletory. I had been waiting for you to post one of him in full color. I do enjoy seeing you pictures of exotic birds. (Exotic to us, on this side of the globe.)
