P-touch labeler

I don't know if this is the right place to post my question but I'll try...
I have a p-touch 310 and cannot for the life of me figure out how to enlarge the font...I have the manual and am doing what it says but keep getting "ERROR." If anyone can help out I'd appreciate it.
