Brug standards

Northeast Harbor, ME

Well, this is for everyone who helped me out over the winter with advice on growing these things. You all asked for photos and here it is. It's not the best image but it lets you know what I was going for and how far I got.

They're about ten ft. tall and, remarkably, have done well given that they are beaten on so regularly by off shore wind. Now, if I can just winter them over, I'll be golden.

Up against the pool house are 2 B. 'Aztec Sun's which have bloomed as reliably as advertized.

My boss wants double flowers for next year.

Thanks everyone!

Wonderful.....what a great picture and the brugs look amazing. I just had to step in and tell you how much I'm enjoying your picture and your tall brugs. I would love to see the ones by the pool house, up close. Very nice. Congratulations on such a nice outcome.

The serenity and grace of your setting, highlighted by beautiful brug. standards, is wonderful. Your editing of artifacts so appeals to me, yet I know I would have flower pots everywhere and then the look would be gone, lol. Just lovely.

Thanks Karl. That is a pretty brug and looks like it was made just for the urn you have it in. Thanks again. I hope it was no trouble to get a picture for me. I wasn't familiar with the brug, Aztec Sun.
