Followed this guy around. I've seen hummingbird moths before but I thought it looked different.

Great shots, Al! That's the same kind of guy I had in my yard a few times! I'd never seen one before and thought it was a big bumble bee, then I saw the proboscis (sp!) nose-thingie and was like, "HUH?" LOL! They're fast!

I love this moth -- I get at least one every year and it loves the phlox and butterfly bushes ... I call it Mothra ... haven't been able to take a picture though ... you did good Al ...
