Wow that's nice! Is it in the ground?

no, it's in a giant pot. i don't really know if i should have put it in the ground or not... right now the new leaf has grown sideways but is very healthy and so are the roots. I think it is just from the heat. Does any one have any sugestions?

Whats your zone?

It says hardy in zone 10 & 11. You could still put it in the ground during the warm/hot months and dig to bring in during winter... I've really never seen this one before. The biggest Alocasia... How did you learn about it? I have the Thailand Giant, but it is not doing as well as I think it should. Brian Williams probably knows about the Robusta, but he is a busy guy. (darn, now you are making me want one)....

MY zone is 8a far from being hardy but i do have a nice green house to keep it. I have known about them for a while because Alocasia and amorphophallus are my favorite plants along with any other tropical plant. A few years ago it seemed like the only Robusta you could buy is a tiny little 8in. start and they costed any where from $45-$75. sadly i bought one:( it was shipped bare root with one leaf and died a few days later, but Natural Selections has really nice size ones for $30. thats where i got mine and it is doing awesome! Although i would have to advise to research it first because i know that people say they are difficult to take care of especially in the winter. so it would have to stay very warm.

A jungle! So lush, I love it. Look at those nanners! Yes, I need to move or build a greenhouse.
