I hope all my Canadian friends have the day off and enjoy it as much as we enjoy our Labor Day!!!

Happy Civic Holiday!
Thanks Pati and it sure is good to see you posting again!!!!! You are becoming very quiet (even in the Coleus and Pet forum) and everyone misses you.
Canadians hibernate in the winter........Floridians in the summer!! LOL Even the Doxies aren't interested in outside digging right now. I'm just marking time until October and my "spring" planting.
Fondest regards,
Pati
Happy Civic Holiday to you both as well..quiet day here..still no rain...spent the day moving sprinkler and working on a floormat for under my kitchen table..almost both projects completed....next long weekend will surely bring home that summer is almost finished for yet another year...keep looking at the gardens and thinking just how sad that will be...
Thanks Pati! How very nice of you :-) I've had a wonderful day just puttering in the garden - one of my favourite activities.

How come, is it, that long weekends are so short?
Thanks, Pati. had a great day, but in my case I didn't even go into the garden except to set out the hose for watering. It was the first day at home after the Chamber Music Festival ended. Since I managed to get in 36 concerts during those 15 days, I needed some down time. LOL We celebrate Labour Day as well, so we'll join you on that holiday.

Well we did a Canadian menu here in the UK and moaned about leaving Vancouver XX Jeannine
Why do we have a holiday named after a Honda car?
(Chuckle!)
Well I think people down Toronto way call it Simcoe Day. I think there's been talk of calling it Colonel By Day up here in Ottawa, but I don't think it's become official.
I think It is Heritage Day in Alberta
This is the weekend of a big 4 day dog show = confirmation, obedience, Rally, Agility and CGC testing. This year the AKC invited two rescue groups (Boston Terrier and Sheltie) to share a display booth. There are currently only 4 of us in the Sheltie rescue so I spent half my weekend at the show - without dogs!
Shouldice is either terribly hot or terribly cold - this was one of the hot years!
