Law man says so - I need to know the best date right no, soon, that would be best to get everything moved. It will be prenns, some shrubs, and anything else I can save and not mow over. Is there a good day coming soon?
I have to move plants soon...
The 13th thru the 16th before 9pm....Dig and move immediately....Plan where the holes will be and get them dug on the 12th and well watered then dig and drop.....This is a very bad month for this..
I know... no choice or I would wait but I have to.
This is good to know. I think I can avoid moving anything this month, but I didn't get all those things planted last month that I planned on (my life went berserk for awhile).
What about September, Dusty? (Good grief, did I just say September? what happened to this summer???!!!)
Mitch...Nice to meet you and have you join us here...:-)
I just went back and redid my charts...My brain was fried earlier, and I was not paying attention...You may move from 11pm on the 8th at the descending moon all the way till 9am of the 23rd to the beginning of the ascending moon...
I would do as much as I could before the 11th, and then hold off till the 14th to do more as the moon is in Leo those days, and even though its okay, they won't recover as quickly then...
Go ahead and dig your holes, amend your soil, and water well, and don't forget to water the plants really well for the 2 days before you dig them...
You are going to want the new holes as cool and wet as possible...If you are going to mulch them.. be sure to wet the mulch first so it is cool before you put it around them...I have gardened in the south or out west in the desert for most of my life, so I don't envy you this horrific chore...I will send Smoke for you, that you don't lose too many...
What on earth has caused the law to make you move them?
Dusty
The city came out after a complaint and I do not have the required grass in my back yard so I ahve to get some grass back there or face fines fast.
That is rediculous...You must live in a restricted community...
Murmer.. the 5th through the 19th of September is good for transplanting..However the 8th, 9th and 10th have Leo again, so beware...
Thanks, Dusty - I'm marking it on my calendar!
I know... Dallas Co. and the whole place is very picky.
Awwww Mitch.. I'm sorry to hear that Hon...I'd hate to live where the watchdawgs are... I'd take a bucket of Roundup to that neighbors yard that ratted on you and spray his grass good...I'll find a good moontime for ya to do that ...LOL... Us Injuns don't like grass anyway... its whitemans invention...Creator did not intend for earth to be manicured, and thats a fact...
Mitch....I can hear the law man now "when ya gonna move those plants, Son?"
Mitch: "When the signs are right, Sir!! " LOL Jo
LOL - Jo, that's great!!! And, Dusty, I hope you are serious about that - if I lived near Mitch I'm afraid I'd be tempted to help him with the Roundup project!!!
I have mainly just enough grass for pathways around my many flower beds. The pathways get smaller and smaller and smaller!!!
Thats is the way mine was.. oh well I am sure in a few years we will be out of here so this will help weed out the plants I dont want to take with me anyways -right?
My goodness Mitch, never heard of such a situation. You must live in one of those exclusive communities. What a job for the middle of summer.
Nope seeds I live in a very back water type area of Dallas that had a hay day 20 years ago and now is in the unwanted cheaper area of things... that is why I live here I could afford to!
Mitch - been there and done that. Life is an ongoing adventure. Personally, I always liked the backwater areas. Guess that is why I am still outside suburbia.
One of these days I will be there too... untill then I have to live here and it helps not to have fines.
