I have several galvanized waterers, and have been using the water from our well after it has been softened. It uses salt to bind with the hard factors to soften. When I fill the waterers every day, I rinse them, and wash them once a week. When I rinse them, they suds like crazy, and we finally figured it's the salt. We think the metal reacts and binds the salt, and it clings to the sidewalls and basin part. Anyone have this problem, and is this bad water for my peeps? We have extremely hard well water, with lots of iron, so I don't know which would be worse. Any thoughts?
Thanks, Laureen
