Hey all,
I saw that people LOVE this book and I was wondering if there was one that ws very close but for the Panhandle of TX? http://davesgarden.com/gbw/c/767/
MAN could I use a flower book with lots of pics and guidelines!! LOL I have spent HOURS this year looking and researching! I could probably make my own by now and nave mad a notebook at that! LOL
Panhandle Book?
I don't know of any specifically made for the panhandle, but there are some other books that are worth considering:
Neil Sperry's Complete Guide of Texas Gardening
Sunset Book's National Garden Book
Both books divide Texas into different sections. Under the individual plant section, they list the sections they will thrive in. The Sunset book has a much larger plant section. Both can be found in any bookstore.
Or you could try Native Texas Plants, Landscaping Region by Region.
by Sally and Andy Wasowski
It is a wonderful book.
Josephine.
HUMM I will look into those! Thanks!
Dale Groom's Texas Gardening Guide is also good. Almost as good as Sperry's

Here is a good website on panhandle gardening

HUMM I will look at these! I really would like one with pictures and good details! LOL
I hate having to look stuff up and try to find pictures and info AFTER I have found something that I think is great! LOL
Have you looked at the two books I recommended?
I have looked at the Neil Sperry online. I will look again and see if I see the Sunset.
I am hoping to get by Barns and Noble today!
I will let you know! I also am going to look at the Dale Groom's book.
And then if I like it I can get it off EBay of Amazon cheaper I am sure! LOL
