The Progressive Farmers magazine's organization built its 2007 Idea House near Fredericksburg, and it is now available for tours. Certainly doesn't resemble any of the farmhouses I knew as a kid! But it is reputed to have innovative designs and useful suggestions for anyone wishes to lighten our imprints on the land. More info here:
