CLOSED: Four O'ClocksBroken Colors?

Bessemer City, NC(Zone 7b)

I'm looking for seeds for any "broken colored" Mirabilis other than what I have to trade which is the yellow with violet streaks, dots or splashes (and occasionally solid violet blooms.) I also have solid pink seed if you'd like that.

All my Burpee seeds labeled as "Kaleidescope" were solids!! :-(((

Hi Kaleem~

That's the one I already have. Thanks anyway.

Still looking for bi-colored four o'clocks..........

I have seeds of the white with magenta splashed ones.
Sometimes the broken colored ones will be solid under some circumstances, so don't give up on the Burpee ones.

Raydio,

I have read somewhere that first year 'Kaleidescope' plants are solid then the years after you get the variegation in the flowers. If you can hold your plants over somehow or dig up the tubers that they make and save them for next year, you should get the flowers you were expecting.

Thanks Windy and Joy for that info. Four o'clocks overwinter here with no problem.

I'll just keep watch over them.

BTW: I just found one white with magenta like you describe, Windy, so maybe there are more on the way and the solids will show some variegation later this season or next year.
