Came back to say hi to my old friends and new friends

Lindenhurst, NY

HI, I haven't been on this forum in a long time. I was busy with the outdoor gardens that are way too much for me to maintain (can you believe I'm still trying to weed and mulch???). And right before memorial day my husband told me he wasn't happy and he moved out. I was so shocked and devastated. I couldn't work for a couple of weeks. But I'm over the initial shock and me and my son are doing better now. I'm feeling better emotionally and am taking good care of me and my son. I finally started having a desire to work in my gardens again, I was detached from them for a while. But my love of flowers and working in the garden has returned! And I'm looking at my a/v's and thinking how I miss all of you and hope everyone of you is doing well and enjoying your summer.

we are a good group of people here and I'm so glad to be back.

Please let me know how you are all doing and what new plants your into. (I'm loving daylilys).

Hugs
Maureen

Hi Maureen! It's good to see you back. I had noticed your name pop up somewhere - newest post or something - and thought maybe you'd abandoned the AVs and gessies....

I am on a major hoya kick, although I think I might be off on a huernia/stapelia/haworthia/stubby succulent one as well, lol....

I'm enjoying reading over threads that I've missed and looking at all these pics of pretty blooms.

Threegardeners - thanks for the welcome back. And I totally agree, that gardening is so therapeutic. I just am so happy to be back at it.

Gessiegail - thanks for the welcome. You people on DG are just the best!

Nancy (aka: Cedarnest) - Hi, hugs to you too! I'm so happy to see your still here. How is everything going for you this summer? How are your av's?

Rose318 - thanks for the welcome. Your frog pic is adorable -- I love frog things:-) I have a cute frog in the front garden near the front door, so everyone who comes to my door sees the cute frog.

Hi Keyring. Thanks for the welcome. You probably saw me on the healthy living thread, or maybe daylilys. Those are really the only ones I've been on. My av's are doing great and I missed you guys. Seems like your busy with your hoyas and your newest "huernia/stapelia/haworthia" interest. I have no idea of what these are, have you any pics?

Mrs.Bonnie - thank you for the welcome back. You made me feel really wanted here:-)

Snowrose - hi, thanks for the welcome. How is everything going? Last I remember you had a pic of your av's near a window with snow in background. So glad it's not winter:-)

Jannich - thanks for the welcome. Hope all is good with you.

Stones - Sharon, thanks for the welcome back. It's great to have so many nice people on this forum.

Hppe everyone's enjoying their Friday. I'm on the way to the beach this afternoon. It's hot and humid and a perfect beach day.

Snowrose and Ms.C -- the beach was so perfectly beautiful. It was really hot inland but at the beach it was hot with a nice breeze blowing. We had a great time, my son caught about 12 blue claw crabs which we do not cook so we threw them back at the end of the day. It was so relaxing. I slept like a rock:-)

Have a great day ladies. I'm so glad I have no work today.
