What do you do for string algae if you can't get the barley straw thingies locally. I bought a few lilies in the co op recently and potted one up for a friend. I put it into a large tub until I can get it to her but I just noticed the pot is covered with yucky string algae. The lilies I got for myself are fine. I can't give this lily to her this way; any ideas?
