question

Greenfield, IN(Zone 5b)

Hi all, I am new to trading, in fact some very generous gardeners on DG sent me seed SASE and I am SOOO grateful. (So many nice people here!) The only problem is I have more than I can use. Is it OK to post these even though there aren't as many seeds in them now that I have used (or are going to use)? Am I making this harder than it is? I have received over 40 packets of seeds, only a few are duplicates. I don't want to post them and have someone feel short changed or let them go to waste if someone can use them. Help!

Julie: I don't think it would hurt anyone's feelings. I know I just want my seeds to be planted, so someone else can enjoy their beauty. I can't stand them to go to waste or be thrown out. If you have just so many seeds left, state that their are only 15 or so seeds. Trade away. Debby

Julie,

Just let people know what you have, and the circumstances.

Hundreds of people retrade all the time. Only time it bothers me is if they don't tell me so up front. I have specialized reasons for not wanting retrades, but this does not apply to most people.

In fact, I'd bet that if all you do is list what you have as an amendment to the above posting, you'll get all kinds of takers.
