Don't give up!!

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9a)

I potted this leafless hoya cutting and now it's starting to grow. While it did take a while, it came back. This was one of the cuttings from David and I didn't want to lose it; the stem was still firm, so I took a chance and potted it. I kept it in a plant tray with a humidity dome, sitting on a heat mat!!

Awanda

Ditto here. I received a cutting from David that had four very yellow and brown leaves attached, which fell off within a day. I potted it, put the very long "stick" in a sealed bag for a week, spritzing now and then, and then vented the bag. It took about six weeks, but its growing like crazy now.

I agree with Awanda - Don't give up!!

hmmm....as someone with a few pots of bare stems, I will keep my hopes up!

Wow, that's dedication! Good job, Awanda. I planted a lone leaf from a pottsii I didn't want to lose, and it took about a year, but it has sprouted a vine....

Good job Awanda. You do have some patience !!

JI had one that did the same and lost all it's leaves. I didn't use a heat mat or anything special but it finally sprouted about 7 months later. It might have done so much earlier had I placed it on a mat.
So I agree " Don't ever say never"

Good for you Bea, I surely would have given up long before that. In fact I have two that I'm ready to thrown the towel in on-guess I'll hang on to them a while longer.
