HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I hope you're having a special, celebratory sort of day! You'll have to let us know what you did to treat yourself... a new plant stand? an order from Kartuz? or perhaps you need an angelic kitten? :-)

Thank you kindly :-)

I got to spend it at the office.... As I was leaving at 1:20 am, I almost jumped out of my skin - one of the computer guys was around installing a computer. I'm not sure why he chose to do it at such an unhealthy hour.....

Anyway, I got the brilliantest suggestion by dmail, and that is to stretch out the celebration over a full week. Will do as instructed :P

So....

how does she get those musical notes into the thread title?

The kitties are killing me this season! My office neighbour volunteers at the shelter, and two of the people on my side of the building have new kittens. Wah! If only I could segregate the plants into a separate room, I might maybe could get a cat. *sigh*

Keyirng I have cats and they don't mess with my plants. Go for it.

Keyring!! That photo was of the sweetest kitten I've ever met... He was dropped on us Sunday (our cousin's dog found him under a bush in Baltimore). Please take a look at the thread on the midAtlantic forum, http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/754349/. He's really an exceptional little guy, with a gentle disposition that makes me think he'll be a wonderful lap-kitty and do well in an apartment. Wouldn't he make a nice birthday gift?

Hey, I had to ask. :-) He deserves a wonderful person to adore!

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

I really wish, but if you saw where I live, you would be horrified. It's not possible until at least I move.

rose - I'm not so worried about the plants, but rather the shelves, the shoplights that stick out from the shelves, the chains (hanging the shoplights and mounts and pots), the bags of rhizomes hanging off the side, yarn from the weaving etc..... If I were a cat, I'd have a blast.

PS Snowrose, that Kohleria is a riot! One of yours? Is it a lanky tallish grower like most of those colors?

Happy Belated Birthday, Ki. Hope you have many more!

Happy Belated Birthday Keyring! Boy ... go away for a few days and miss out on the party! So far I've missed two Birthday's in the garden!

Sorry you had to work on your special day .... I hope you can take a day for yourself to celebrate away from the office! Give yourself the gift of a mini vacation!

Oh ... that little kitty is such a cutie! I love cats! We are down to four at the moment but I would have a houseful if I had a bigger house! At one time we had five and I was feeding a total of 13 - back about 15 years ago when we had a lot of strays around. Felines do like to run and jump and get into things .... especially young kitties! So, I think you are wise not to introduce a young one to your indoor garden! Sounds like it would be the perfect playground for a kitten! Maybe you should consider an older feline!? There are so many beatuiful"older" kitters at shelters that need good homes! Older cats don't tend to get into things like kittens do.

Well ... I'm beginning to ramble and must get unpacked, get laundry done and most importantly get plants watered! Hubby did a fairly good job while I was away for 8 days but some things are wilting and I can almost "hear" them crying at me to water them!

Again, Happy Belated Birthday!
