How do I know when calla fruit is ready for the seeds to be planted? Is there a rule of thumb?

I don't even bother harvesting the seed. The stem will be so heavy that it will bend over to the earth, the seeds will eventually fall off and settle in, and next year you will have lots of new babies. Very easy!
All my plants are in pots on brick, as I need them to be mobile because I am not in a permanent place of residence... But great idea maybe i can rig a pot next to it for them to fall into, It's leaning quite a bit already.
