CLOSED: Still In Search Of Kent Belle .... Do you have him?

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Earlier this season I posted looking for Kent Belle's Campanula.

A DG family member graciously offered me some of hers for postage :)

Well, I planted it right away and believe it or not it's blooming!!!
BUT, to both our surprises, I don't think this is Kent....I think it's Cherry Belles.
It is absolutely beautiful but I REALLY would like to add the blue/purple of Kent to go with my Elizabeth and now Cherry.

I would be more than happy to send postage or am willing to share some of my Elizabeth or Cherry Belle in exchange.

Here is a shot of what I believe to be Cherry Belle. Would someone that knows more than I about Punctata confirm that this is Cherry for me as the person that sent it to me would like to update her marker with the correct ID.

Thank you so much!

I think it is Cherry Belle and I love it but really wanted to add Kent Belle to go with my Elizabeth :)

This is my cherry bells, looks like the one you have but I have never seen Kent bell.

If this is what you are after, I may be able to split it, once the weather gets cooler.
Be careful with that Cherry Bell plant. It should be named Campanula Kudzu because it won't be long and it will take over every inch of your property.

Oh blpender, YES...that is the color I'm looking for to go with Elizabeth :)
Is it as vicious as Elizabeth is? She is CRAZY and everywhere but I LOVE her so much and wouldn't be without it. The babies are easy to pull or move so I just let her do her thing. Just like obedient plant, I just pull the volunteers. Next year I may dig her and "pot" her in the ground but first I am trying to save some of the babies.
I LOVE the color on that one :)
I have noticed that the Cherry Belle is also very aggressive.
I would LOVE a little piece if you have enough to share.
Is there anything maybe you are looking for that I may have?
Please D-Mail me and we can decide if I have anything you would like :)
Here is a shot of Elizabeth

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Kent is very much a gentleman. I've had just the one small clump for 3 years now, no spreading, no runners. The first couple years, the blooms were minimal. Not sure if it was weather conditions, or because he was a young plant. He performed well this year. Striking color.
I will be very happy to give you a piece, but not until the weather is cooler.
I tried splitting a similar plant a couple months ago, and not only lost the piece, I lost the mother plant as well. Just too hot, right now.
Please stay in touch so I don't lose track of you.

Goodness, yes....wait until it gets cooler for sure.
I did that with my Japanese Iris last year. Dug them too late though and both my mother plants died :(
Is there anything you are looking for that maybe I have out there somewhere?
I am SO excited!

Nothing that I can think of, at the moment. I have a lot of plants and whenever I come across something uncommon, I buy it. Loved Kent's blooms, but was apprehensive about him taking over my bed. That hasn't been the case at all.

Well, I sincerely thank you for offering to share him with me. He will be very cherished here in Maine and will be in good company out there with Elizabeth :)

Just let me know when and where to send postage OK?

Thank you again,
Kim

Okay.

Kim,

I'm glad to see that you will finally get your "Kent". I will be changing my labels to Cherry bells instead of Kent now. Thanks for straightening this out for me too. :-)

No Donna....THANK YOU for sharing your Cherry Belle's with me. It's OK that it was the wrong plant but I really have been looking for Kent for a long time. It still is blooming and I am still enjoying it daily. I thank you so much for your kindness and now at least we both know what it is. Did yours bloom for you this year? I almost died when it bloomed! I couldn't believe it. It is still in bloom which is amazing :)

Thank you again :)
