Milkweed bugs shot down by alcohol :-)

I want to ask some of you experts out there if you know of any reason not to use alcohol on the butterfly weed and milkweed seed pods, it sure works on the milkweed bugs, zaps them right off and on to milkweed bug heaven :-) I am keeping it away from the flowers.
