Two weeks ago, I posted pictures of our Superb Fairy-wren (Malurus cyaneus), displaying at our windows. The male then was in his drab winter plumage: http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=3733788
Well today he is undergoing a change. He is in the process of donning his superb summer livery and here he is, a bit patchy, but colouring up well:
Turning Blue
Already, in the depths of winter!? Are they early breeders?

Well our winter isn't that hard. We have narcissi in flower already, and the couting displays of these little wrens have been going on for a few weeks now!
Please keep us updated as that darling little guy changes into his most glorious outfit! I know I, and I suspect many, would love to see the different stages.
Wonderful, Kennedy! Yes, I love seeing them change, as well. And it's so neat to see wildlife from another part of the world (especially Australia)!

I enjoy your pictures also. I doubt I will ever see the birds you post, in person. Keep them coming.
Good looking bird. It's great to see others birds. Thanks.
