Help to ID A Hardy Hibiscus

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

I took some seeds pods from a red hibiscus yesterday that looked seriously similar to the Texas Star. The only difference I could see was, the bush was bushier than the one I have and the bloom petals, although they bloomed with spaces between the petals, they were about 2 times bigger than the Texas Star. There was also no green visible between the petals when blooming.

Would this still be a Texas Star, only happier than mine, or would this be a different hybrid? Sorry no photos.

Hi Molly,
Can you describe the leaf shape? Heres one I thought of from your description.
Is this close at all?

Thanks for stopping Dave. It seems the petals should be much rounder. If I can get a chance this week, I'll get over and take a photo of the plant and flowers. I am not very good at descriptions.
