Last year they didn't come close enough. This year they are allover the yard anytime of the day. It's just getting a good enough picture because they blend in so well. I just have to get the baby's picture yet.
Finally pictures of Sandhill Cranes!
Thats neat! Your property looks very nice.
We have the perfect area for lots of wildlife. A little lake at the end of the road. The neighbors have a pond. There are fields and woods all around. You can hear the neighbors but not see them.
Thanks for the compliment.
Love the pics and your yard is very lovely!
Susie
Wonderful, Ves! The birds are incredible, and I ditto the remarks about your wonderful yard!
They are fun to watch and so protective of the baby.
Thanks for the comments on our yard.
I got a picture of the baby this morning!!!!!!!
I saw then in the back yard and it looked like they were heading out front. So I snuck out the door and sat on the step and waited. Really it was only about 30 seconds. First came one adult then the baby then the other adult. Snap got the picture! Not the best but you can see the 2 of them. The baby is almost adult size now but he hasn't molted into his adult coloring yet!
Very nice! Thats great you were able to get a pic of him, Thanks!
What a treat for you (and us)!
I hear them squawking all the time and see them fly over but they never come up into the yard. Great photos.
They are really noisy aren't they?
The first time I heard them I though someone was being killed in the marsh!
My DH calls them dinosaurs!
LOL. The first time I encountered a wild turkey I thought I'd run into prehistory! There's just something about those sounds...
Hey Ves, Nice mustang collection too!!
My DH will be glad to hear that. He has a '67 convertible just about done! Motor problems! Talk about funny noises!Take your pick the birds the car or DH! LOL
Good eye Mrs Ed.
