The base of my garden is mostly Aroids (an obsession for about 6 years now). I am integrating other plants these days, trying to add more flowering plants and vines as well.....I'm getting there. I've always had brugmansias and am now trying to add some palms and other larger plants as understory plants to our large grandfather oaks.
Aroids amaze me. Plants that I think I've lost show back up years later. Or each year something pops up somewhere I never planted it. It also amazes me, when I look at pictures back to 2003, all of the plants that I have lost and they've never come back. Some I had forgotten about. Now I'm on a quest to find some of them. :)
Some pics of my garden....
Lovely pics!
What is the peltate EE in the background of the 1st pic?
ROX
It looks like C. Affinis Jenningsii, beautiful pics!
Very nice collection.
aroid, how old is your variegated monstera? where planted? also is the aloc. wanda williams from Brian's Botanicals? very nice!!!!!
Love 'em. Thanks for showing us.
Deb
Rox, Tropicanna is right, the small EE in the background is C. Affinis Jenningsii.
Vossner, I've had my variegated monstera for about 1-1/2 years. It was a rooted plant with about 3 leaves when I got it.
Thanks for the comments.
I gave my Anthurium Veitchii a new home yesterday. Hopefully, it will do well there and it's portable, so I can move it in for the winter.

Vossner, forgot to answer one of your questions.
Alocasia Wanda Williams is one of Brian's hybrids. I obtained it through a trade while I was at the Aroid show/sale in Miami last year. For some reason, I am having a hard time keeping it standing straight. It wants to grow sideways, then up. I don't generally stake plants, but I think I will have to on this one.
Ariodgardener your Varieg monstera is to die for. It is truly beautiful. The Alocasia Wanda Williams is it the variegated one. All your plants are really beautiful, keep up the great job, and thanks for the pictures.
Thanks 2pugdogs,
The variegated Alocasia is a yellow variegated odora. A. Wanda Williams is the one behind it.
