Anybody?

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

I have some brugs that I can do cuttings for. Cuba, and Dr. Suess (I think) I have 5 brugs 4 are planted 3 of which were scalded during a recent early morning rain followed by early afternoon sun. So only Cuba and Dr. S. are available.

However, I only see the Morning Glory seeds as something in which I'd be interested. I can send the cuttings for postage if you'd like. I'm going to take pictures and offer ice plant cuttings in the next day or so. Mine are growing so, that I'm going to cut them back so that the roots will be healthy for wintering over. They grow easily by cuttings, if you'd be interested.

Yes I would be interested. About how much would they be to ship?

Thank you and God Bless!

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

which? The brugs or the ice plants?

Gloucester, MA

Brugs

East Moriches, NY

I think I have deadly night shade growing around, let me check and figure how to harvest.
I also have some holy basil that will be ready for seed soon, feverfew, and this fall I will have salvia divinorum. Anything strike your fancy?

Gloucester, MA

I can make a bonsai out of the deadly nightshade and I would like some of the sage, salvia divinorum.

Be careful and get some gloves though. And if you don't wash hands good and make sure not to itch your eye or anything. I have heard of people accidentally rubbing eyes and having them dialated.

Do I have anything you want? If so post here or contact me through d-mail.

Thanks!

Deer Park, TX(Zone 9a)

I would like to get Datura Metel.
Dandelion? Here we have a weed called dandelion. I saw some pretty ones on the PF though. Which do you have?
At the moment I am pretty new to the seed thing, just starting out.
I do have some Texas Star Hibiscus and Red Bird of Paradise (Pride of Barbados) seeds to offer. Sorry, I am not sure what I am doing if it does not have a pod. I am trying to learn.
PLMK
Thanks

Gloucester, MA

Dandelion is a weed here too. I purposely grow it for my Guinea Pig. People who have pet tourtises (I can't spell it) as in the turtle like animal grow dandelions for them to eat in the yard.

The dandelions I have are Chicory Cichorium intybus and Dandelion Taraxacum officinale.

I have to find the datura metel seeds they are around my house somewhere.

Saint Cloud, MN(Zone 4b)

I will get back to you in a bit-let me go see what I have keft in my yard that has been resistant to my many trys at killing it-LOL

Gloucester, MA

okay, nice. You're positive it is deadly nightshade right?

Saint Cloud, MN(Zone 4b)

you can't miss that little thumb on some of the leaves and the smell-Ugh-yes, I am certain. OK...things have calmed down in the house-let me go have a look in the yard. I know there are 2 with very large undiggable roots next to my driveway that I just keep cutting-they are back and one has seeds...let me go see what else I have.

Saint Cloud, MN(Zone 4b)

I was just digging around on the net to make double sure I had deadly nightshade....well it appears that many things are called this!!

If you look at this site

http://dnr.wi.gov/invasives/photos/index.asp?mode=detail&Code=Soldul
"Invasive Species Photo Gallery: Deadly Nightshade (Solanum dulcamara)

you will see what we call deadly night shade here in the north, this is what I have, but I also see other things called the same thing. What I have is Solanum dulcamara. Is this what you are wanting?

Gloucester, MA

Solanum dulcamara is actually something I was trying to trade too. It is invasive around here. I never knew it was also called Deadly Nightshade.

Are there any other nightshades around there? Like Atropa belladonna Solanum nigrum or anything else?

Saint Cloud, MN(Zone 4b)

LOL-you are asking me to figure out the names of weeds-I never thought I would even want to know them...let me have a look around because I really would love to have your Pink saucers morning Glories...will get back with you :o)

Gloucester, MA

Here is what I would like:

Ipomoea alba
Moonflower

Dwarf Cleome
Polanisia dodecandra

Lablab purpureus

Lemon Mint
Monarda citriodora

Princeton, TX(Zone 8a)

Oops...Leka disappeared... :) Sorry - too much work too little time for DG ;).
Good news though - I still have all the seeds you'd like.

I was looking for buckweat for a while! Finally I could not believe my eyes when I saw someone had the seeds! I am excited now- I will have a separate patch for it for next year.

Dogrose....I have also been looking for it but no one really sells it...and not many people grow it either.. I' d love to have it as it's a childhood thing - when I was little my family would get in a car on Saturday morning and drive outisde the city into the countryside/fields which we had pleny of around my home town. And there were places where people could go to pick rose hips off dogroses which grew wild. Someone might say it's probably someone's property or government protected as wildflowers are up here... It was actually a common practice for those who were... how would I put it...in touch with nature and not in ay way illegal :). We'd pick some rose hips, I'd wander around and pick flowers and collect cool bugs...When at home - my mother would make a drink out of rose hips which she gave me as tea and especially when I was sick. I remember those trips still and I loved them! We'd also go into vineyards and pick grapes. Some farmers would actually allow people to come and collect the grapes when they had too much and could not collect all their harvest. So farmers would let people come in, pick the grapes and take all they picked with them as opposed to having those grapes rot in the field. My grandmother would make a homemade vine from those grapes and I loved to pick them apart looking for all those bugs which of course would travel home along with grapes. :)

Soooo.....back to the cutting....Would you say the hardwood would have a better chance rooting? If you're able to get something closer to the ground maybe? Or I read the branch which just finished blooming would have a better chance rooting..
I am not very good about rooting roses - I know in theory how it's done but have not been successfull rooting them other than one miniature rose which did not make it in the heat as I think I moved it outside too early. :(
I'd say if you could find two of them and just wrap into moist towel, place the " root" portion into ziplock bag to conceal the moisture. And actually I think we'll have to mail via Priority mail so it won't die in this heat - it's still in the 100s here. Wait for my package - I will incude a priority label for you to use, since I know it costs close to nothing to mail seeds, but Priority Mail is a bit more.

Gloucester, MA

Sure no problem. I will put the seeds in the package too.
