My acorn squash leaves have started to develop a whitness along the veins. On a couple of the leaves, where the discoloration has spread to the minor veins, it looks like the leaf is netted, silvery pale.
I can't find a description of this connected to any disease, and the plants seem otherwise healthy, with no wilting or other kind of discoloration.
Oddness on Acorn Squash Leaves
A picture would help people identify your problem. Does it start with the bottom leaves of the plant or the top leaves of the plant or does it affect all leaves the same?
Yes, I'm clearly behind the technological curve with no digital camera!
It starts with large mature leaves near the top of the plant, starting with the midrib and then proceeding into the smaller veins.
It looks nothing like powdery mildew, and the plant is quite healthy (so far), so I'm wondering if maybe this isn't just a feature of the variety, which is Mesa Queen acorn squash.
LT,
Honestly, I have no idea, and there are others who are much better about diagnosing potential plant problems.
I will say that I'm growing a summer squash variety that also has a slight silverly cast to the foliage, some silver on the veins (not exactly like you are describing, but similar). When I first saw it I thought, aw shoot (or words to that effect) here comes the powdery mildew but as you say the plant is flourishing (same as last year, same cultivar, same syndrome) so in my case I'm quite convinced it is the coloring on this cultivar not a disease.
Just my two cents. Others may differ on this. (And maybe I've got a sick plant but it sure acts healthy and is producing like a son of a gun).

I should add that these are younger plants, just starting to set fruit - I set them out at the end of June.
