This is one from Gaylams on DG in the spring of 2006.
It is the only bloom on the plant now but I'm feeding it Schultz Bloom Plus and might get a flush later, I hope.
I like the form and the close skirts.

Beautifu Golden Lady
That is gorgeous, Louise!! You must be thrilled. :) And, that's a great eye you have there with your camera, very nice!
I have heard that this one has a great fragrance! Let us know how it smells this evening..
Very nice photo.
I have read only excellent reports on this brug. and now I see why. Just beautiful!

Nice going there Lou! Don't you just love her????
its really super very lovely color.
I feel so lucky to have this brug and the friend who sent it to me!!!!
Isn't DG just the greatest?????
Thanks to everyone for your nice comments. This was my very first brug to see bloom in my garden last year and it fueled my addiction to this flower and the many people who post their beautiful pictures here. You make my day and days!
Check out the pictures of my pink one that opened yesterday on another thread.

Hello, Carter -
This was the first one that I received on DG and it started my fascination with them. The big thunderstorm that we had today blew my pink brug (with six blooms open) over, caused one bloom to break off and made the others dirty. Makes me wish my potted ones were in the ground.
What will you be bringing to the Sept. RU for trades?
Louise
I've always liked this brug and especially her strong fragrance.
I love mine too and am using it in several crosses this summer. She is almost always in bloom for me.
I agree Golden Lady is a beautiful Brug. I lost mine and haven't been able to replace it yet. I've lost more since Anton came back and is supposed to be helping me out. If there's 50 plants and five are totally wet to the point of root rot, those are the ones he waters and skips the ones screaming "give me a drink". I was giving him the dickens about a brug being too wet and he told me it was wilted down. I said Yep but it's wilted down because of root rot from being drowned. It's beyond me why he can't look at a plant and see it's sloppy wet and he shouldn't water it.. LOL
Some people just don't get it. It might as well be rocket science to them. My Fred is like that. He's a very smart person. Normally. He had a plant at his office and was trying to describe it to me because he said it was sick and wanted to know what to do with it. He told me that it had lost all it's leaves along it's trunk and that it only had leaves at the very top. I finally made him bring it home - and it was a perfectly healthy dracaena! lol!
LOL Carter. Maybe these two are related.
