Someone posted a pic of one of these a little while back. I had resisted buying one since I'm not really into pink flowers, but a few months ago I gave in... :) As with the "normal" one, it's been blooming non-stop.
Pink Jatropha integerrima
really lovely..
Not intro PINK flowers?? My my. LOL
I love it. Great photo too, Carter!
Love the delicate pink flowers. I'd say it's a beauty.
Jackie
Everywhere I go I look for a pink one; one of these days I'll get lucky. :-))))
carter that is absolutely lovely. so sad about you not favoring pink. so very sad......
It is beautiful Carter. Do you have it planted in the pot or in your landscape?
Patti
Patti, It's in a pot. My regular red one freezes back every year if I don't protect it, so this one will be staying in a pot!
LOL at everyone! Sorry... I'm just not a pink guy. ;^) I do have plenty of pink flowers, though - pink is a prominent color in the brug world, and just about all the best are pink. So guess what most of mine are! :) Other than that, though, I tend to not be attracted by pink. *shrugs* Now yellow... deep red... ORANGE... bring'em on!!
But really, I can appreciate it even if if doesn't necessarily appeal to me.
thanks, everyone!
Carter it is beautiful. I think it was Donna-Perennialgirl that post one before
Hey Carter! If that pink ever pops a seed, please save one for me. I'll find something or other to trade you for it. I've never seen one anywhere at all!
Thanks !
Kay
I've been watching it all summer and no seed yet! But then, my "regular" red one right next to it hasn't set any seed either. In fact, I've never had luck with this species setting seed. Dunno why.
Hmmmm! Maybe you have a bee shortage!
My red one pops them everywhere and they come up everywhere.
That podigreca you sent me was the champion seed popper though.
Also that lacey leafed one you sent (I can't remember the name of that one) is doing just great.
J. multifida. I love that one, too. :) I don't have a ton of bees, but I definitely have them. Ya, J. podagrica does set seed easily.
could you have seen one I posted.................here are a couple of pics for my 'Baby Pink' is the name of this pink jatropha.....................I love them.............but we have had so much rain this summer I have mushrooms growing even in bougainvilleas..............
There is a local nursery who carries them here............
I know this is an old thread but I NEED one of these....
