Get well soon, Kyle....

Kyle had knee surgery a couple of days ago. Thought a get well thread might cheer him up a bit. Hope you are feeling better each day, Kyle. Get well soon. We miss you.

Thanks people, I had the bursa removed, kept filling my knees with fluid. so painful for a while, but not as bad as a replacement would be. Whew!

Whew is right, it sounds painful to me. Sorry you had to go through this Kyle. Stay off your feet for a while and let those knees heal.

Hey Ardesia, what cultivar is your close-up of - that's a great picture!

Geez...not the dogs...

San Bernardino, CA(Zone 8b)

I'll bring steaks to distract the dobies, they're ferocious, but not that smart ;-)

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Bring T-bones and I'll EAT em.. LOL

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Maybe if we all get on that bus and someone takes Kyle out for steak, the rest of us can raid his GH while he is feasting. A few bottles of a good wine and he will never know what happened. ;-))) Feel better soon buddy

Oh Amarantha, thanks for the compliments on that beauty. That picture was taken last year as sadly, the plant died this spring. It was one I got from Kyle a few years ago and was my all time favorite. I have lost many plants over the years but this one croaked for no reason and I have been so upset with it and myself. It had an unusual and very long name, Kaawananakoa. It is the light yellow one in this picture.

Kyle im glad you are on the mend bro.

Regarding knee replacements.
Given the right facility and doctor it is a fabulous option.
I have several senior friends who have done both knees and are amazed that they have no pain now at all.

Thanks everyone, had to have the knee drained today, the DR. took out a turkey baster sized syringe full of fluid. feels better but now hurts more. Go figure, I'm never happy.
LOL Kyle

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Ouch!! I hope it doesn't fill up again. How are you keeping everything watered with a bum knee?

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

A speedy recovery to you Kyle!

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Ah, Kyle. I'm sorry. Take some pain pills, call the nurse, make painful sounding moaning noises! Hope your are out in your gardens good as new very soon. I agree with Malstrom, IF you have to do replacements, choose the doctor and facility carefully. Scuse me please, I need a little lift to get on the bus!

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm at home, I can still walk OK but hurts now and then, I can still drag a hose with the best of em.Makes watering easier.

I shouldn't need a replacement, I hope down the road they get better on their own. :-)

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

Okay...I know I'm tired, so please forgive this awful joke/mental slip.

Kyle, when you said "Makes watering easier," I thought, "What? From his KNEE?? Ewwww...I recycle, but that's a bit much!" lol...

Feel better...and I realized today that I still owe you a cutting! I need to hire some more help around here so I can go back to playing in the garden :)

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Tess, I don't think THAT water(from my knee) would work very well! LOL

Kyle :-)

Hi Kyle,

Hope things are better for you today and the pain is fading. The best pain management is several beautiful blooms to get your mind off of it. Seems like you will have it made!!!

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

Kyle, i hope you are taking it very, very easy--the only way to heal fast.
