Horticultural staff at the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden in Berkeley, CA are predicting that the Amorphophallus titanum in the Tropical House is likely going to bloom sometime around 8/3 or 8/4. WAAAAY KEWL!! Don't have pictures myself, but go to the website above and take a look. They have some pictures and info now, and if it works the way it did last time, they'll have a lot more pictures as Titania gets bigger and bigger and finally blooms.

We had LOTS and LOTS of extra visitors to the Garden a couple of years ago when Trudy bloomed. She was loaned to us by one of our members. Titania, on the other hand, was grown from seed right here at the Garden, and this will be the first time she's bloomed.
Titania is now 55" tall; projected flowering date is August 8.
