Verbena Bonariensis seeds?

Peachtree City, GA(Zone 7b)

Has anyone ever kept the seed and grown Verbena Bonariensis from seed?
I give up! Where are the seeds? :) LOL

Well VB self sows like crazy in our garden. But, you can find the seed at Thompson & Morgan. No, just kidding. (-;

I just pick a few dried up flower heads at the end of the season and then twist them apart and sprinkle the bits out in the garden. In the spring I yank whatever seedling is in the wrong place. Not the most methodical way to do it, but it works for us!

I am sure somebody here has a pic of the seeds (as I recall they are tiny) and can explain a bit better!

I will send you some flower heads later in the summer if you still need some seeds.

tabasco, that is so nice of you! I guess I posted in such a hurry that I didnt mention...I bought 2 plants this year and they are growing fine. I just cant find the seeds. lol
I want to save some so I can grow more. I have alot of mulch in this area so there probably wont be many seedlings, but that would be so much easier.
I want them in a few other places so I figured that i would start them inside, not sure if that is a good idea or should I just seed them outside in spring. Maybe they need the cold first?

I will save some flower heads, the seeds gotta be in there somewhere, LOL
If I sprinkle them soon (when I have some dead ones, they are all still in bloom) will they come up now or in spring?

I suppose you'd better wait to spread the seed until the fall sometime or even mid-winter. I don't know--obviously since I don't know how to find the seeds either! LOL

They are pretty foolproof though if I can grow them!
