You gotta understand. We haven't seen one since....2004? There were lots that year...cats too...and then that long December freeze happened in Texas...and nothing here since! So I was talking on the phone...walking around....and something caught my eye. Well, it was checking out my P. Caerulea vines (huge monster vines that climb to top of trees). Hope it laid eggs...or at least decided I have the right plants for it to stay around! Will keep my camera ready for action! Yea!
A Zebra Longwing! It's back!!!!!!
Congrats Linda. Keeping my fingers crossed for you
Congrats!!!! Congrats!!! Do hope they lay eggs on your passifloras.
I was at one of the local wildlife preserves and that place is full of ZLWs. It's about 18 miles from my house. Am hoping a few will eventually venture this way. Had one last year but didn't have the right larval host for it. Maybe this will be the year too.
Congrats again!!!
